The distance is 80 km and takes about 1 hour. You will cross the French border - ensure your rental includes cross-border permission. In Chamonix, take the Aiguille du Midi cable car for breathtaking views.
2. Geneva to Lausanne - 45 Minutes
Following the northern shore of Lake Geneva, this 60 km drive is one of Switzerland's most scenic. The Lavaux wine terraces (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) are visible from the road. Lausanne is worth at least half a day - visit the Olympic Museum, the old town, and the Cathedral. Return via the same route at sunset for spectacular views.

Note: private cars cannot enter Zermatt itself - you park at Tasch and take the shuttle train (15 min) into the village. Driving time from Geneva to Tasch is approximately 3 hours.
